From the Principal's Desk (Sept. 9, 2022)

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we are already at the half way point of the first marking quarter. Today, your students have received their first Progress Report. This report gives you an overview of how they are doing in each of the academic areas. For students in grades 3-8, you can go on FACTS Management, to look at each area more carefully, with grades listed for all of their assigned work and in class participation. Students should be listing their daily homework in their school planners as it is assigned. If you are not seeing this, I would encourage you to sit with your student and create a plan to be able to do so daily. This will help him/her learn to plan and prepare work in a timely fashion. For students in grades K-2, you should look at their daily/weekly folders and contact the teacher if you are unsure about what their grades are comprised from. We want to work in partnership with you to help every student be as successful as he/she is capable of. As they grow academically, we also want them to grow spiritually as well. We continue to integrate prayer into our classes daily, along with time for reflection at Adoration on Tuesdays. As you can see in the photos, Fr. Bob is not only present at the celebration of the Mass, but also visits the classes at various times to teach the students.

Looking ahead to the next couple of weeks, we are preparing for the start of our new lunch program and planning two dates for Parent Listening Sessions. We want to get some feedback from you that will help us plan for this year and the future of our School. The first will be on Thursday, September 22nd, at 6:15 pm in the Social Hall. We will have Kidcare for this meeting. The second one will be Wednesday, September 28th, at 7:45 am in the Social Hall. We hope that every family can have at least one parent in attendance at one of these meetings.

We will send home more information on both the lunch program and these meetings next week.

If you would like to meet with your student’s teacher regarding his/her progress, please email them to schedule a time to speak.

Lastly, THANK YOU to all of our families who are helping the students adhere to our uniform and behavior policies. We want our environment to be welcoming and faith filled, and for students, faculty, staff, and families to feel that everyone is treated fairly and respectfully.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Yours In Christ,

Rita M. Klenk
