From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. It was a week filled with gifts, treats, breakfast, and lunches. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this week special for the faculty and staff, and for showing them just how much you appreciate all that they do in teaching and caring for your child throughout the school year.

This week we also saw our 8th graders in new and different roles....teachers! They did a superb job stepping into the shoes of our faculty members. By the end of the day, they had a new appreciation as to what goes into just a single day in the life of a teacher. Some admittedly said they were very tired at day's end.

Yesterday we crowned Mary after our regular school Mass. May is the month that we especially honor Jesus' mother, Mary, for the important role she played in his life and for her continued intercessions on our behalf. As Fr. Bob reminded students in the service, she was the only saint without sin.

We also hosted our first annual Family STREAM Night. Thanks to all the families who "weathered the storms" (literally) to come out and have a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Many, many, thanks to Ms. Amy Baughman, our STREAM teacher, who spent may hours prior to the event, preparing all the activities and to ALL of my faculty who came out to help facilitate and participate in the evening. As you can see by the photos in this Weekly Update, there was much innovation, creativity, and ingenuity that came into play with the multiple challenges in each classroom.

With Mother's Day weekend upon us, I would like to personally wish all of the moms, grandmothers, and great grandmothers who play such an integral part in the lives of our students a "Happy Mother's Day". We love and support you, and thank you for entrusting your child to us, as we assist in their faith formation and academic learning.

Yours In Christ,

Rita M. Klenk
