Dear Parents,
What a fantastic Catholic Schools Week! We kicked off the week with our Open House. Many people came by after the masses to take a tour of the school. Our amazing middle school students gave tours and took new prospective families around the campus. Monday the students had ice cream sundaes with Bingo for K-4, and outdoor sports for 5-8, followed by muffins for our parents/grandparents on Tuesday at drop off in the morning.
On Wednesday, we prayed the rosary as a school community, praying for our nation and its leaders. On Thursday, we celebrated the Presentation of Our Lord and blessed the church candles, with students and parishioners participating in the procession. Our students did a fantastic job. We thanked our Carmelite Sisters and Fr. Bob for saying "Yes" to being called into religious life. And today, a great time was had by all at our Family Potluck Lunches. Thank you to all who joined in the food and fellowship.
Behind the scenes each day, the teachers and staff were provided with some treats. The teachers and staff will have their own dress down day and receive the "rain check" on Sonic drinks, as we simply ran out of days/time to fit everything into just one week's time!
We are so blessed and grateful to have such dedicated, faith filled people working in our school. We all love and care for your children and want what is best for each of them.
I encourage you to help us wrap up Catholic Schools Week by participating in the School Mass on Sunday, February 5th at 10:30 am at Epiphany. Have your child come in his/her school uniform to receive a dress down pass and most especially to show our Epiphany parishioners how much we appreciate their support and prayers for Epiphany Catholic School. If your child is an altar server or lector, please arrive by 10:10 am.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
