Dear Parents,
This week we entered into the Lenten season with the celebration of Mass on Ash Wednesday. During Lent, we focus on the three pillars: fasting, prayer, and almsgiving.
In a special way, we focus on these three things during Lent to help us grow in our faith during our 40 day journey to Easter, the celebration of new life and Christ’s resurrection.
While we continue to form your child in faith and academics, we continue to share with them what the Catholic Church teaches us, and the ways in which we can continue to love and serve God and one another.
The students are doing a great job at putting in their very best effort in grades 2-8, on the TerraNova tests. We appreciate all of you for getting your children here on time, well rested, and prepared.
I encourage you to come by and take out or eat in, some delicious fish at the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry each Friday, from 4-7 pm, during Lent. The Stations of the Cross will be taking place in the church at 5:30 pm as well.
We will have our Lenten Mission beginning this weekend at the Masses and next Monday through Wednesday. All are welcome!
Have a great weekend.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
