From the Principal's Desk (Aug. 12, 2022)

Dear Parents,
What a great start of the school year with the students, celebrating Mass yesterday! Coming together as a school, middle school students being Mass buddies to our primary grades and seeing the procession of altar servers brought a feeling of joy and pride as their principal.
Visiting all of the classrooms I had the chance to check in with returning students and welcome our new students. Watching each group make our new students feel welcome and participating in activities that allowed everyone to share fun facts about themselves, and re-acclimate to the school norms and procedures took up most of the students' days.
Our 5th-8th grade Parent Night allowed for us to ensure that every family is aware of the upcoming school hot lunch program and to be aware of upcoming anticipated activities. Parents from grades K-4 can look forward to a similar meeting next Tuesday, August 16th at 6 pm.
For those who would like to participate in field trips and other on campus school related activities with the students during the school day, please see the box with information about Virtus.org in this newsletter to complete a background check, schedule fingerprints and sign up for the required Protecting God's Children class.
We look forward to seeing all of you at our family events and will have an Open House in late September so everyone can visit the classrooms in the evening and hear about the wonderful things your kids are working on.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
