This week at Mass, Fr. Bob talked about how God protects us. He told the children that God is always watching over us and he protects us from so many things we may not even be aware of. His love for us is so great that when we go to Him with our prayers he hears us and cares for us. Sometimes, God has even greater plans for us than we have for ourselves.
There are times where we may get frustrated with having to wait in a checkout line, behind cars in a drive thru or at a light. We may think the delay a nuisance and inconvenience, putting us "behind schedule". We see it as an inconvenience when rather, it could be God's way of slowing us down to prevent the possibility of something negative happening.
As I am currently spending more time in the middle school classes, as I fill in for Mrs. Stewart, I continue to talk about "perspective" with the students. Reading various selections and discussing them, requires us to talk about point of view of both the characters and the author. Adding our own opinion of how we might react to a situation or solve a problem also allows for each of us to have our "own take on things".
Ultimately, we must continue to build our relationship with God and ask for his guidance as we navigate our day to day lives and to also, allow us to consider the people around us and how they are affected
Please continue to pray for Mr. Wilson who is on the mend from surgery, and for Mr. and Mrs. Stewart, as Mr. Stewart awaits surgery in the hospital.
I hope all of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving and get to spend some time relaxing with family and friends. It is always a great time to play games and "catch up", in addition to enjoying delicious meals.
We all have much to be thankful for and we are thankful for all of you in our EpiphanyCatholic School family, and your continued support.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
