From the Principal's Desk (10/08/21)

Dear Parents,
This week marked the final week of the first marking quarter. Looking back, it is hard to believe that we have already completed one fourth of the school year!
If we look at everything around us, we would be led to think that Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are all close at hand. When you go to Hobby Lobby, you find items for all three holidays. Our conversations here at school include the start of soccer season, archery training in PE, All Saints' Day, Christmas programs, Science fair projects and midterms.
We can easily get swept up with the future and breeze right by the moments in our current, every day lives. I find that I have to stop and remind myself, several times a week, that the present is where my thoughts and actions should lie. It is not to say that planning is not necessary to prepare for various future events and occasions, but not at the expense of missing out on meaningful moments now.
As you enjoy your long weekend with your families, some of whom may be enjoying Gator Homecoming, I hope that you take some time to "smell the roses" and relax. Savor the opportunities you have to be with your children and friends, to create lasting memories for yourself and for them.
Have a faith and fun filled weekend.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
