From the Principal's Desk (05/13/22)

Dear Parents,
This past week I spoke with grades 1-8, about a variety of topics. I wanted their opinions about their faith formation, the things they liked about this school year, and any changes they might like to see for next year.
They talked about their love of God, Jesus, and Mary. Many said that the ten commandments were their guide to doing what is right and just. There were quotes such as " Faith is hope to encourage yourself and others", "God will always forgive you and love you", and "Faith doesn't make things easy; it makes them possible."
Memorable moments of this year included getting the new playground, recess, PE, the Chrism Mass, Archery, Soccer, the Kids Heart Challenge, eating in the social hall, helping the younger children, field trips, ASTRA Club, and dress down days.
Looking ahead, they would like more recess, robotics, learning more about the Rosary, class pets, Lego club, outdoor equipment for middle school, more technology, more time working in groups, STREAM, and less homework some days.
Getting to hear everyone who had something to share, and to take time to reflect back on the year and look towards the future, gives me great hope that we have accomplished much, and have so much more to look forward to, as we strive to do God's will here at school with our Epiphany family, and at home with our own families.
This weekend, Epiphany Catholic Church will celebrate the sacrament of First Communion with a handful of second graders. We welcome your attendance at the 10:30 am to join us.
Have a great weekend.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
