This week, I was in Pensacola at another Catholic elementary school. I was asked to chair an accreditation team,to visit the school and complete a report. Last year, if you remember, a team visited our school to complete a similar visit. These visits take place every six years to ensure that we meet the benchmarks and standards that govern the accreditation requirements by the Florida Catholic Conference. As members of the visiting team, we have the opportunity to go to another diocese and get a firsthand look at the operations at their school as well as share ideas with other Catholic school administrators.
While I enjoyed the opportunity and the sharing of new and innovative ideas, I always look forward to "coming back home" to Epiphany. I miss our students when I am away and am even more proud of them as I visit with other schools' students.
With progress reports sent home today and just 5 weeks left in the school year, we are working hard to finish strong and push the students to complete their given grade level on a positive note. As our eighth graders transition out of middle school and graduate into high school, we hope they will utilize the skills they have learned and more importantly, the faith foundation they have gained while here, to grow and advance in the years ahead.
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Please consider having your student make a card of gratitude, and/or share some kind words or small treats with their teacher(s), as they truly do so much for each individual and support you, as you are their primary educators.
Thank you for all of your continued support to our school this year. We are excited about the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Remember that for every new family that you recruit and successfully registers, you will receive a $100 Amazon gift card as our thanks. More students and families means more programs and resources for Epiphany.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
