From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents and Families,

On Wednesday, the 6th-8th graders participated in their fall retreat. The theme was based upon the recent program that was facilitated in Religion classes, Circle of Grace. Sr. Freeda spoke about how all of us are unique and special in God's eyes and as such, we should not only value our own life but the lives of others. The students engaged in a variety of activities that called for them to reflect on the qualities and attributes that make them special and ways in which they can show respect and dignity to all people in thought, words, and deeds. A puzzle piece activity involved each student creating a puzzle piece unique to their own gifts and talents. They assembled the pieces together to form a completed puzzle with the emphasis that without each of the pieces (each representing a student), the puzzle would be incomplete, and that each piece was equally valuable to the whole.

We emphasize through prayer, example, and practice, how to show respect for oneself and others. Procedures, policies, rules and schedules help to ensure that everyone is able to come to school and learn to the best of his or her ability. Facilitating opportunities to grow and develop our God given gifts and talents, helps us to prepare for the path that God calls each of us to follow.

Next Thursday night, October 12th, we will have our next Family STREAM Night. I hope that many of you can join us and spend some time with your child and other Epiphany families. Next Friday, we will have our next Parent Meeting (HSA) and will be planning for our upcoming Trunk or Treat and other holiday events. Please drop your child off at 7:30 am and join us in the Social Hall for donuts, coffee, and a quick planning session. The more people planning and assisting, the more we can all enjoy these events and activities with our families.

Have a fantastic long weekend with your family. Remember there is NO school for students on Monday, October 9th and Tuesday, October 10th. October 11th is a NOON dismissal with NO ASC on that day.

Yours In Christ,

Rita M. Klenk
